| A LITTLE ABOUT CREAM DACHSHUNDS: Eclair is what is called a Clear Cream or an ee Cream. Unlike a shaded Cream (who is born a charcoal color and lightens up eventually to a cream) an ee cream is born a light buttery cream color and lightens up to a pretty cream color. Some breeders try and claim to have clear cream puppies but they are actually a clear red (ee red); they start out creamy-red as puppies and darken into a light red color as adults. If BOTH parents do not carry the cream gene, and the puppy is born a light cream color, the puppy will not genetically be a true Cream. Cream Dachshunds that are born charcoal colored and lighten up to cream or shaded cream (with some black shading) are STILL true Creams. The original English Cream (which originated in England, per it's name) is not smooth hair. Some breeders offer smooth haired creams that do stay cream as adults but they are not to the original standards of an English Cream. PLEASE do your research before you spend a lot of money on a supposed English Cream Dachshund!! Check pictures of BOTH parents and check their 5 Generation AKC Pedigrees and adult pictures of BOTH sets of grandparents. It would be so disappointing to be mislead into thinking you were buying something you were not. I would be more than happy to go over this with you on the phone. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions regarding the genetics and false claims some breeders make. There are plenty of wonderful websites that have more detailed information on the real cream dachshund that originated in England. I would love to share those with you. I have plenty more genetic resources. Please email me for further research. Thanks! ~Virginia |

| Eclair has been spayed and placed in a wonderful companion home with her daughter. She often visits and I am able to beg for babysitting time for her. She is very loving but I decided I needed to move in a different direction for conformation shows. However, she has always been an avid hunter and still loves Earthdog competitions. |
